Thread gage is common used in threadedinspection of bimetallic thermometer.
Thread gage, also known as go-no go gage ,is usually used to check whether the size of thread is correct. The thread sizeconsists of the diameter of the thread and the pitch of the screw.
The size of the thread should be knownbefore select the thread gage.
According to the internal and externalscrew, the thread gages divided into plug gage , ring gage and tooth type gage.
The Plug gage is used ot check the size ofthe female thread.
The ring gage is used to check the size ofthe male thread.
